As a Technical Project Manager, a Typical Week Might Include The Following:
Project/Program Management. Working with cross-functional business clients and IT teams to understand, document and communicate project objectives, scope, functional and technical requirements, milestones, deliverables, schedule, and cost estimates. Managing complex system interfaces, file exchanges, integrations, configuration and testing. Acting as technical liaison with architecture, engineering, operations and development teams. Using technical acumen to ask probing questions and to support the technical team with issue resolution. Monitoring and controlling each project by tracking, reviewing and communicating progress to project stakeholders to include risk and issue management, decision, and action item tracking.
Vendor Management. Coordinating vendor evaluations and demonstrations; supporting vendor negotiations, vendor deliverable tracking, and invoice processing.
Mentoring/Leadership. Preparing and leading project team meetings including the creation and distribution of meeting agendas and meeting notes. Acting as a mentor to the PMO team, reviewing PM candidate resumes and providing feedback, participating in PM interviews, onboarding/training new PMs, and partnering with other members of the PMO to identify best practices and new project management trends and ideas.

This role might be right for you if you have…
A Bachelor's degree in Business or Information Technology.
8 years of experience in managing cross-functional or enterprise-wide projects with some or all of the following technologies: Windows or Linux-based operating systems, virtualization, distributed computing hardware technologies, network technologies (SDN, firewalls, load balancers, WAN, WiFi), active directory, SAN storage and storage solutions, messaging and collaboration software, virtual desktops solutions (VDI), backup and restoration services, and disaster recovery services. Experience working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple large complexity projects at once with minimal oversight.
2 years of Program Management experience
Bonus points if you have…
A Master's degree in Business or Information Technology.
Experience with Waterfall and Agile project methodologies.
Agile Scrum Master.
Lean Six Sigma.
