Job Description

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist II, you’ll work independently to fill assigned requisitions within specific business areas, while utilizing an understanding of recruitment practices, company policies, and procedures.


What you’ll do here:

Recruit for entry-level to mid-level roles by conducting phone interviews and qualifying candidates, while ensuring a positive hiring experience. 

Promote the Desert Financial culture and present the organization in such a way to help build a diverse and talented team. 

Source internal and external candidates using various resources and/or methods; post positions via appropriate avenues (Job Boards, LinkedIn, Social Media, etc.); develop and run creative advertisements and posts; participate in job fairs.

Collaborate with business managers to anticipate and respond to hiring needs.

Arrange for interviews, testing, submitting information to vendor for references/drug screening/background checks, and make/negotiate offers.

Disposition candidates not qualified based on requirements a timely manner.

Make candidate recommendations based off of behavioral phone interviews.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.


What you’ll need:

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.

3 years of recruiting experience required.

Human Resources experience preferred.

Ability to efficiently manage heavy requisition load, work independently, and prioritize effectively.

Flexibility and objectivity in responding to business needs.

Strong customer-focus while building collaborative relationships.

Proficiency in web-based applicant tracking systems.

Behavioral interviewing techniques.

Ability to advise, influence, and make sound judgment calls.

Solid negotiating skills and decision-making capability.

Computer proficiency with solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products, web-based job boards, and social media.

Recruitment or HR Certifications preferred.
