Who you are…

You are an influential and analytical and problem-solver, with the ability to organize and manage multiple on-going projects. As a Commercial Loan Workout Officer, you’ll restructure mid-to large-size loans of moderate to high complexity for commercial clients, working with lending personnel and commercial borrowers to better secure collateral and/or assets of the borrower. 

A typical week might include the following…

Initiate and perform a detailed collateral evaluation, strength analysis, and coordinate collection inquiries/activities to determine the nature of default to develop and present workout strategies and solutions for approval.

Collaborate with lines of business, departments, internal and external clients to perform collection inquiries and activities to determine the nature of the default, and the member’s intentions relating to collateral preservation and or loan reinstatement.

Evaluate, determine, and auctioning pre-foreclosure, Foreclosure vs non-Foreclosure actions.

Facilitate discussions with members, obtaining all required financial documents necessary by covenant or needed to prepare a comprehensive loan analysis including, financial statement analysis & spreading, income tax analysis, debt service analysis, personal financial statements, debt service, and creditworthiness, and order/review appraisals.

Maintain documents based on financial requirements and perform annual documentation reviews including, tax returns, credit reviews, personal and/or business financials for covenant compliance for borrowers and guarantors.

Monitor and analyze reports and invoices for assigned portfolios, analyze REO complex problems, and recommend/implement appropriate solutions.

Recommend marketing and pricing strategies and negotiate the sales price and contract terms.

Modify, as appropriate, initial loan “workout/resolution, researching and identifying the cause of default, members' intentions towards collateral preservation/reinstatement, collateral market analysis, preliminary legal remedies analysis, collateral/asset value enhancement, and disposition strategies.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

 

This role might be for you if you have…

5 years of experience as Commercial Loan Officer, Workout Officer, or Underwriting with sales contract negotiations.

5 years of Direct experience with loan workouts.

Strong knowledge of financial statements, spreading, and legal documentation.

Working knowledge of real estate transactions from foreclosure to closing.

Extensive knowledge in a simple to complex Title issue resolutions, values, and legal ramifications.

Intermediate Excel and PowerPoint experience.

Strong statistical analysis and understanding.

 

Bonus points if you have…

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
