Job Description

The Social Media Program Manager is responsible for the development of strategies, planning, and execution of all Desert Schools' social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, Snapchat, etc. They will execute social media and digital marketing strategies to attract and engage members, increase sales, raise brand awareness, and grow community engagement in a measurable way. The Social Media Program Manager will develop a deep understanding of the Desert Schools voice and be able to speak on a variety of organization items such as responding to member questions, concerns and general comments received on social media platforms as well as where to direct customers in need.

What you will do here:

Manage Desert Financial's Social Media Community, responding to comments, direct messages, tweets, re-tweets, online reviews, etc. Find and share content relevant to Desert Schools’ members.

Strategize, plan, and execute both monthly and ad-hoc social media and social media adjacent campaigns and programs. This includes the high-level social media strategy, tactical plans, writing of content, and collaborating with the creative team to fully create content.  

Attend credit union events where a live social media presence is needed including branch openings, and community events, at times acting as the face of the organization on social media.

Manage and maintain monthly social media reporting using tools like Sprout Social and Facebook Analytics. Optimize content and execution based on monthly report findings. Provide regular reports regarding engagement, sentiment, and results.

Act in an advisory role to other lines of business, providing guidance as to how to best use social media to further their business goals.  

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

What you will need:

Bachelor's Degree in Related field; Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field of study required. 

4 - 7 years of knowledge of social media platforms such as advertising platforms and reporting tools required. 

 4 - 7 years of experience in content writing and post creation required. 

Experience using Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, Snapchat, and Twitter

Knowledge of current social media trends and best practices

Excellent written communication skills and the ability to write conversationally

Basic graphic design and HTML

Proficient with MS Office Suite Products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

Ability to manage multiple projects and campaigns simultaneously

Strong communication and presentation skills

Self-motivated, independent, resourceful

Attentive to detail and able to make judgments when facing ambiguity

Advanced problem-solving ability
