Senior Risk Analyst
The Senior Risk Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the organization's Enterprise Risk Management program. The Senior Risk Analyst will identify, challenge, and document risks and controls in projects, products, and processes.
What you will do here:
Provides direction to lines of business and subsidiaries in identification, collection, quantification, measurement, analytics, monitoring, management reporting and treatment of risks.
Establishes collaborative relationships with key business owners to assist in the development, assessment and monitoring of mitigation plans for enterprise risks to ensure all risks are managed to an acceptable level, and recommends changes to senior management in support of organizational goals and objectives.
Contributes to the development, execution, and reporting of annual enterprise risk assessments, company risk appetite statements, and associated risk tolerances.
Collaborates with management to design Key Risk Indictors (KRIs) and manages performance-reporting process to senior management, the Enterprise Risk Committee, and the Board of Directors.
Trains ERM liaisons to focus on the identification of risks that could affect their ability to achieve and realize their business strategy and objectives. Provides one-on-one training as necessary. Maintains up-to-date industry connections, training, and expertise to recommend risk review and analysis enhancement to improve the effectiveness of controls and risk management efforts across the organization
Evaluates operating procedures and policies, ensuring the highest levels of Member service, productivity, and internal control.
Enhances Enterprise Risk Management policies, practices, and tools to analyze and report enterprise risks, and to manage risks according to the enterprise risk management framework.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
What you will need:
Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management preferred. Degree in Accounting or Finance will also be considered.
5 years of Enterprise Risk Management experience.
Experience in the Financial Services industry, including Enterprise Risk Management, Audit, Compliance, and/or Operations preferred.
NCRM, CRM, CERA, PMP, or other Project Management certifications preferred.
Knowledge and technical understanding of relational databases and database table structures, building reports, development of risk dashboards and associated metrics to identify and quantify organization risks and present actionable conclusions to executive management.
Hands on development skill with SQL.
Ability to effectively prioritize and multitask in a high pressure, high volume environment.
Strong leadership, teamwork, relationship building skills, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to influence positive outcomes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on presenting one on one and in a public forum.
