As a Public Relations Program Manager, a typical day might include the following...

Develop, lead, and execute all public relations strategies and campaign to drive brand awareness of Desert Financial. Including writing press releases, handling all news and media appearances, crisis management and major product and campaign events for Desert Financial and Desert Financial employees.

Build and maintain a framework to measure and report PR performance.

Support social media with the help of the Social Media Program Manager. Attend events and provide social media marketing including pictures, writing posts, publishing, and community management.

Support internal communications for the credit union. Including writing emails, updating intranet, and running the employee app.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

This role might be for you if you have...

Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communications, public relations, business, related field or the equivalent experience.

4 - 7 Years public relations, social media and marketing experience.

Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required. 

Excellent organizational skills, ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently with strong attention to detail. Ability to produce quality work with tight deadlines.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills, planning skills, analytical skills, and problem solving skills

High level of experience in brand marketing management including reputation management. Experience with public speaking, professional with well-developed interpersonal skills essential to deal courteously and effectively with a diverse group of employees, managers, callers, visitors and vendors.

Ability to collaborate and work in a cross-functional environment. Ability to develop and maintain key business relationships.

Working knowledge of business intelligence, reporting or dashboard applications.

Valid Arizona Driver's License.

Bonus points if you have...

Knowledge of Cision software and/or other PR Software.

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign).
