The PMO Manager is responsible for oversight of the Project Management function, including people, processes and systems.  The PMO Leader works cross-functionally with other departments and leaders to define, prioritize and direct projects within the portfolio.  Ensure that program and projects meet organizational goals, objectives and success criteria.  

 

What you'll do here


Lead and supervise the Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure the appropriate, skilled resources are in place to meet project needs.

 

Manage staff performance, including recruiting activities, supporting the staff, coaching/mentoring, development, one on ones, goal setting, team recognition and active performance management.

 

Ensure that PMO process, templates and systems are maintained and continuously improved.  Ensure ongoing project and portfolio reporting of key indicators.  Monitor and inspect PM performance and adherence to PMO process and systems.  Provide support to the Enterprise Project Steering Committee in conjunction with Desert Financial.


Build & maintain relationships with business leaders and project stakeholders at all levels within the organizations.  Promote SwitchThink services and solicit feedback from business leaders to ensure SwitchThink service delivery is exceeding expectations.


Manage projects directly, including working with cross-functional business clients and IT teams to understand and document project objectives, scope, requirements, milestone, deliverables, schedule and cost estimates.  Follow PMO practice, including all administrative functions and responsibilities related to PMO.


Perform other job-related duties as assigned.



Qualifications

What you'll need:

 

Bachelor's Degree in related field.

 

8 years of management, leading major software solution implementations. Experience working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple medium-large complexity projects at once with minimal oversight.

 

Information technology and/or banking/financial industry preferred.

 

Agile Scrum Master (CSM) and Lean Six Sigma training, experience or certification.

 

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, must be willing to obtain within 1 year.
