As a Mortgage Support Specialist, a typical week might include the following...
Export loans on behalf of the Loan Officers once deemed the file is ready for processing. Review and validate the loan, once ready; orders out the loan into processing. Standardize and review 1003, order escrow title for refinanced loans and purchases. Order and monitor appraisals and effectively save/file all required documents in the system.
Support your assigned Loan Officers (5-6) by reviewing files for delivery of all disclosures. Within the assigned time-frame, responsible for contacting borrowers to obtain accurate consents, disclosures and follow through with any changes for processing.
Work on daily pipeline to ensure files are eligible per desktop underwriter guidelines which includes compiling the required list of items in order to complete the process.
Support validation overflow queue and assist with the review of files for completeness. Review credit, income and assets to ensure it meets all qualifications. Verify income, available funds, credit report and purchase contract.
Handle incoming phone calls and support the mortgage support team. Respond to questions and inquiries, schedule and confirm appointments for the Loan Officers.

This role might be for you if you have…
High School Diploma or GED.
3 years of experience in Mortgage lending processes.
Strong skills in organization, attention to detail, communications, critical thinking, interpersonal relationship management and business acumen.
Strong time management, organization and follow-up skills.
Communication skills – ability to effectively communicate and present information both in person and over the phone; effective written and verbal communication.
Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
Understanding of mortgage lending principles and practices.
