Mortgage Processor III
The Mortgage Processor III is responsible for a full range of mortgage loan processing functions from accepting originated loan applications, through ensuring the loan package is fully prepared for closing. Interacts frequently with borrowers, real estate agents and third-party vendors to ensure requirements are met and the loan funds on time, building an outstanding borrower experience.
What you will do here:
Review and process a large pipeline of loan documents to ensure validity and/or substantiate income or cash levels meet established guidelines and mitigate the potential for unnecessary loss. Calculate income from a variety of sources and income types.
Assess appraisal reports to ensure collateral eligibility. Review preliminary title reports to ensure requirements are met for title insurance and lien perfection.
Verify that all borrower, credit, and collateral documents submitted are accurate, compliant, and relevant, in accordance with investor guidelines. Coordinate and assemble documentation in accordance with FHA, Fannie Mae and other investor requirements to ensure file is adequately documented and prepared for underwriting and loan approval.
Validate source data to verify completeness and accuracy by assessing the documentation and services necessary for approval. Relay any additional items needed if applicable. Ensure all borrower disclosures have been provided within the required timeframes and are accurate and within acceptable tolerances.
Maintain regular communication with borrowers, loan officers, internal staff, title companies, real estate agents and other third parties to respond to inquiries, problem solve, ensure the timely closing of loans, and provide an outstanding borrower experience.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
What you will need:
AZDL – Driver License – Valid and In State required.
High School Diploma or GED required.
3 years’ experience in mortgage processing.
Advanced strong understanding and knowledge of Conventional and Government mortgage lending guidelines, principles, and practices required.
Advanced excellent judgment, decision making, and written/verbal communication skills are vital. Must be able to effectively communicate and present information both in person and over the phone required
Must exhibit advanced expertise and experience to be able to process all loan types. Examples include, but are not limited to, Government loans (FHA, VA, USDA), Purchase transactions, etc. Required.
Advanced excellent time management skills with ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task throughout the day required.
Advanced ability to work under tight deadlines and to meet those deadlines effectively required.
Advanced Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word software required
Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
