Mortgage Processor II

A quick thinking multitasker who takes pride in the delivery of detailed and accurate work. You love organization, being responsible for a full range of mortgage loan processing functions from accepting originated loan applications, through ensuring the loan package is fully prepared for closing and a possess a desire to provide exceptional experiences for our members and frontline staff. A strong communicator who can easily use your skills when working with third party vendors such as appraisers and title companies to ensure smooth and on time funding of loans.
A typical day might include the following:
Reviewing loan documents to ensure validity and/or substantiate income or cash levels in accordance with established guidelines and mitigate the potential for unnecessary loss. Calculating income from a variety of sources and income types.
Assessing appraisal reports to ensure collateral eligibility. Reviewing preliminary title reports as necessary to meet requirements for title insurance and lien perfection.
Ensuring all borrower, credit, and collateral documents submitted are accurate, compliant, and relevant, in accordance with investor guidelines. Organizing and assembling documentation in accordance with FHA, Fannie Mae and other investor requirements to ensure file is adequately documented and prepared for underwriting and loan approval.
Validating source data to verify completeness and accuracy by assessing the documentation and services necessary for approval. Relaying any additional items needed if applicable. Ensuring all borrower disclosures have been provided within the required timeframes and are accurate and within acceptable tolerances.
Maintaining regular communication with borrowers, loan officers, internal staff, title companies, real estate agents and other third parties to respond to inquiries, problem solve, ensure the timely closing of loans and provide an outstanding borrower experience.
Performing other job-related duties as assigned
This role might be for you if you have:
High school diploma
2 Years of Mortgage Processing experience
Arizona Drivers License
Strong understanding and experience with Conventional and Government mortgage guidelines, principles, and practices
Experience processing all mortgage loan types including FHA, VA, USDA, purchase transactions, etc
