Job Description

The Consumer Loan Funding Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the Consumer Loan Funding team. This individual will drive the effectiveness and efficiency of the team’s productivity, processes, and technology while managing/mitigating risk. The Consumer Loan Funding Manager executes the funding of direct, express-business, home equity and employee loans by disbursing loan proceeds as outlined in closing instructions.

What you will do here:

Provides leadership and direction through the development, coaching and motivation of the team on a daily basis to maintain a high level of productivity, quality, and member satisfaction.  Provides escalation support for member issues.

Creates and delivers productivity scorecards and monitors quality by ensuring loans are funded accurately and within guidelines, demonstrating sound judgement in granting exceptions within their authority.

Manages the division of workload, assignment of schedules, and day-to-day operations of the funding team. Prepares, researches and reconciles multiple consumer loan general ledgers.

Manages the indirect loan contract process through ensuring information is complete and accurate in accordance with established guidelines and regulatory requirements including, but not limited to, review of format, content, dates, names personally identifiable information, partner information.

Identifies opportunities and makes recommendations to increase optimization through process improvements, procedural changes, and technology implementation.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

What you will need:

High school diploma or GED.

5 years of lending experience.

5 years of prior leadership experience.

Communicate and respond to internal and external members, vendors, retail leadership and dealer partners to ensure an exceptional experience and provide a good understanding of the department’s responsibilities.

Follow through is critical along with accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to exercise strong judgment and time management skills

Strong critical thinking with the ability to identify risk based on internal training and understanding of lending regulations

Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills appropriate to all levels of the organization

Ability to respond quickly to challenges using appropriate judgment to assist members while keeping the organizations best interests in mind.

Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software.
