The Instructional Designer will collaborate with key stakeholders, Subject Matter Experts (SME), and Learning and Development (L&D) management on the design, development, and implementation of learning projects. Apply sound instructional design techniques and adult learning principles to create engaging and effective instructor-led training, virtual training, and supporting materials. Apply knowledge of educational technology to design online courses. Use established evaluation techniques to measure the effectiveness of learning activities. Execute work plans, providing intermediate progress, and exception reports to managers and project leaders.
What you will do:
Create new courses, in-classroom, virtual, and eLearning, and the hard copy or electronic materials (facilitator guides, participant workbooks, exams, etc.) to meet organizational performance and business needs and to promote learning transfer.
Interview SMEs and use available resources to identify and gather information for course content. Collaborate with peers, project team members, and others to develop performance objectives and content based on subject matter and training strategy.
Update applicable training materials in response to on-going process and procedure updates.
Create and follow project plans in alignment with established learning project workflows and meet established project deadlines.
Conduct Train-the-Trainer sessions for Delivery team and attend pilot and post-pilot classes to monitor course effectiveness and ensure learning transfer.
Maintain up-to- date knowledge of learning technologies and best practice by attending webinars, completing self-study activities and self-guided research, etc.
Input course information, tools and associated documents in our learning management system (LMS).
Perform necessary administrative learning management system (LMS) duties in support of course enrollment, learning activity assignments, and eLearning courses. Input course information, tools and associated documents in our (LMS).
Ensure performance objectives are defined for each training program, assessments are designed to measure against defined objectives, and objective contributes to the organization’s strategic goals.

What you will need:
High School Diploma or GED
7 years of experience in Instructional Design and Training
3 years of experience in Graphic Design
3 years of experience in Project Management preferred
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with eLearning Authoring Tools (Captivate, Storyline, Lectora, Articulate)
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Media Encoder, Premiere, etc.) or similar media editing programs
Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint
Experience with audio recording and editing
