Job Description

The Information Security Analyst II is responsible for identifying, managing and reducing sensitive data risk. They will leverage their knowledge of enterprise systems, cyber security, attack methods and forensic techniques to respond appropriately to escalated incidents. The Information Security Analyst II will use a comprehensive set of cyber security and forensic tools, tactics, and processes to complete investigations and mitigate cyber-attacks.

What you will do here:

Monitor and proactively search for indicators of comprise within the environment. Investigate security breaches, while actively contributing to maturing the capability of the incident response program.

Enhance organizational security through the use of firewalls, intrusion detection, virus protection, data encryption, and other security solutions.

Utilizing test tools to determine system and network vulnerabilities through internal and external penetration tests.

Manage issues / exceptions efficiently and communicates status and resolution action plans to IT Management

Perform installation and configuration management of security systems and applications, including policy assessment and compliance tools, network security appliances and host-based security systems.

Support technical implementation efforts in support of security projects while demonstrating the ability to solve complex technical challenges.

Promote awareness of applicable regulatory standards, upstream risks and industry best practices.

Contribute to the design and disbursement of end user training.

Maintain up to date knowledge of security best practices and how those can be applied to SwitchThink’s environments.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned

What you will need:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related degree or Equivalent combination of education and experience required.

4 years helpdesk experience working with Active Directory, Windows PC, Windows and Server required.

2 Years experience with Anti-Virus Management required.

2 years experience with Vulnerability Management required.

1 years experience using PowerShell or other database scripts required.

Demonstrated skill in managing Computer Networking (IP Subnets, Firewalls, Proxies, NAT, Load Balancers) required.

Demonstrate skill in Windows System Administration (Group Policies, Active Directory, Registry, Server Roles, File Server Configuration) required.

Demonstrated skill in Computer Log Analysis (Event Viewer, Syslog, Packet Captures) required.

Demonstrated skill in AntiVirus Management (Monitoring, Repairing, Response) required.

Demonstrated skill in Vulnerability Management (Identification, Testing, Remediation). Familiarity with vulnerability scanners and ability to read and use the results of vulnerability scans, packet captures, and system logs to remediate potential issues required.

Demonstrated experience using PowerShell required.

Experience with information security technology in the financial industry and understanding of financial industry regulatory requirements required.

Good communication skills; demonstrated ability to communicate network security issues to peers and management required.

Demonstrated desire to continue to learn and grow in IT Security required.

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills required.

Security required.

Network required.

PCIP required.

CISSP preferred.
