Job Description

The Human Resources Business Partner I (HRBP I) is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides full cycle Human Resources support to assigned lines of business. The role is critical in executing HR initiatives, providing great internal customer support, and driving the talent acquisition process within assigned lines of business.

What you will do here:

Partner with other functional areas of HR to develop and deliver HR initiatives that directly support and enable business objectives.  Assess and anticipate HR-related needs and leverage HR programs, policies, processes, and systems to deliver integrated solutions and value-added services.

Acts as an organizational coach, who builds organizational capabilities, reduces complexity, and partners with lines of business leadership to maximize team performance. Provides strategic coaching related to employee engagement and retention, succession planning, career path development, talent assessment, skill gap analysis, and performance management. 

Performs full-cycle recruiting for lines of business supported using various resources and/or methods; sourcing, check candidate references; posting positions via appropriate avenues; running advertisements; participating in job fairs; reviewing internal transfer requests and employee referrals. Dispositions candidates not qualified based on job specifications or job fit in a timely manner.

Acts as a coach to lines of business to deal with employee relations issues, promptly investigating claims, complaints, etc.; making recommendations; and taking appropriate actions while mitigating risk and ensuring legal compliance.

Collaborates with lines of business leadership to design and implement the most effective and efficient organizational structures and operating processes (i.e., prioritization, resources allocation processes.)

Provide timely, effective, and direct coaching to lines of business leadership, assisting in the development of world class, contemporary leadership skills.

What you will need:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field 

Experience: 3 Years of Human Resources Generalist experience with progressively increasing responsibility for areas such as Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Learning and Development, and Talent Management.

 

Experience: 1 Years of Retail Banking and/or Financial Services Environment

Subject Matter Expertise on two or more functional areas of HR

Preferred: PHR or SPHR certification, or SCP or CP certification
