Job Description

As an Electronic Mortgage Loan Officer (EMLO) you will be responsible for meeting mortgage loan operational standards including: productivity, quality, and member service, while consistently initiating and maintaining relationships.

What you’ll do here:

Originate mortgage loan applications via in person, telephone, web and email channels, while maintaining a pipeline by attracting new mortgage loan applications.

Review all loan applications by verifying supporting documentation and credit-worthiness.

Accurately pricing of loans and timely preparation and delivery of all required loan disclosures.

Provide timely follow up on all originated mortgage applications.

Makes outbound sales calls to prospective members (customers).

Participates in external events to foster Realtor relationships within the community.

Attend branch meetings and assist in training of retail staff.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

 

What you’ll need:

High School Diploma or GED.

1 year of proven success in a sales environment. 

Previous mortgage origination, underwriting or processing experience preferred.

Excellent customer service skills and effective relationship building skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills.

Mortgage lending principles and practices and knowledge of Mortgage Loan Origination System preferred. 

NMLS registration or NMLS license through the National Mortgage Lending System and Registry.
