Job Description

The Director, Total Rewards is responsible for the design, development, implementation, communication, and maintenance of Desert Financial Credit Union's total rewards programs, including compensation, benefits, wellness, safety, and HRIS.  This position is also designated as the Credit Union's HIPAA Privacy Officer.


What you'll do: 

Lead all total rewards programs to attract, retain, and motivate a high-performing workforce.  Ensure that all total rewards programs support the organization's strategic objectives and are competitive, cost-effective, and in compliance with legal requirements.  

Lead, develop, and mentor teams in the functional areas of compensation, benefits, wellness, safety, and HRIS. Continue to evolve the use of HR analytics in these functional areas.

Direct annual market survey and recommendations regarding changes in salary plans; lead all activities related to published compensation surveys throughout the year, and audit survey output, market trends, and competitive pay positions to ensure salary plans meet overall company goals and objectives.

Contract with and actively lead benefit plan vendors, auditors, and consultants for services, premiums, and plans administration.  Analyze and evaluate services, coverages, and options available through insurance and investment companies to identify programs that best align with the organization's needs.

Support project management of HR initiatives including project plan development, financial, technical, and/or resource requirements, for implementation of standard methodologies and creative solutions.

Qualifications

What you'll need:
Bachelor's Degree or related work experience 
Years of related experience: 8 years 
5 years leading compensation and benefits programs and HRIS 
Strong leadership, people, and organizational skills to lead, build, and develop highly effective teams and elevate the total rewards delivery model 
Demonstrated track record in designing, developing, communicating, and administering compensation, benefits, and HRIS strategies and plans
Knowledge of HR practices, principles, and procedures based on working closely with colleagues across the HR functions and lines of business
