You’re an analytical collaborator, who thrives off the achievements of your team. As a Conversion Programmer you will analyze, develop, document, code, test and convert client data into Keystone using the C programming language.

A Typical Week Might Include The Following:

Conversion. Convert existing data, using complex data transfers, interface development, and vendor cross reference files.

Development. Assist in the development of data conversion programs written in C by reviewing and evaluating data sources.

Testing. Design, develop and execute tests that confirm the success of the data conversion process.

Consultation. Provide technical expertise in development and implementation of data extraction, transformation and execution of load programs. Meet with analysts to capture requirements and write appropriate system specifications.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

The role might be right for you if you have:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field.

3 years of experience writing data conversion logic.

In-depth knowledge of C or other object-oriented programming languages including C#, Java or Python.

Demonstrated proficiency with SQL and writing queries against complex database structures.

100% travel required within first year Monday through Friday to San Diego. After the first year of employment travel expectations will be minimal.

Advanced development knowledge with proven use of development processes and methodologies.

Understanding of IT governance as it relates to database conversions and how to ensure compliance.

Ability to foster an environment that promotes the exchange of information and successful accomplishment of shared goals with business stakeholders, service peers, and vendor partners. Excellent listening, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure. Analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills.

Bonus points if you have:

5 years of experience in current and legacy financial core system database concepts.

Experience working in the Credit Union industry preferred.

Working knowledge in a DB2 database environment preferred.
