Job Description

The Data Analyst is responsible for leveraging business objectives of the Member Engagement organization to create analysis and produce reports to help support those objectives. The data analyst must understand the sources and relationships of data between systems to create performance dashboards. In addition, the data analyst will provide requirements in support the ongoing development of the enterprise data warehouse and will contribute to report development standards.

What you will do here:

  • Gather business requirements to design, develop and deliver data analysis, reports, dashboards and visualizations
  • Design and develop solutions that enable Member Engagement leadership to make decisions based on data utilizing dashboards and analytical reports to support Business goals
  • Provides support in troubleshooting and resolving issues with reports and dashboards.
  • Interact with the SwitchThink BI Team to open requests, assign priorities and represent the Retail organization’s needs in establishing best-practices and developing content for Desert Financials’ strategic initiatives.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field OR Equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • 3 Years experience in a similar role required.
  • 1 years experience with a data warehouse system required.
  • 1 years experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment required.
  • Demonstrated competence with reporting tools, software, and applications including SQL Reporting Services and PowerBI required.
  • Competence SQL programming, practical knowledge in importing data for use in reports, spreadsheets, and graphs required.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills. Logical and efficient with keen attention to detail required.
  • Capability to create reports, visualizations, and dashboards to answer business questions. Trains business customers on their interpretation and use required.
  • Demonstrated capability in identifying trends and patterns in business data; creating data visualizations to drive actionable insights to support business decision making required.
  • Competency assessing data cleanliness, ensuring accuracy, completeness, reliability, relevance, and timeliness required.
  • Excellent business acumen; can understand organization’s goals and objectives - including knowledge of channel activities and performance measurements required.
  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills required.
  • Desire and ability to continuously learn new analytical methods and tools to have increasing impact on business results required.
