Credit Assistance Representative
The Credit Assistance Representative is responsible for collecting on delinquent loans and negative shares to bring accounts to a positive/current status. They will council members regarding their accounts by negotiating solutions that benefit the member and the credit union.
Collections - Handle inbound and outbound collection calls to provide member assistance based on the status of the member's account(s). Negotiate payments while evaluating the members' financial situation to provide solutions based on individual needs. Confirm all member information is accurate and complete.
Problem Resolution- Through member engagement, identify the root cause of financial hardship in order to identify and offer appropriate workout solutions. Identify issues that may have caused late payment and collaborate with other department and/or branch personnel to resolve the issue(s).
Member Service- Collaborate, communicate and respond to internal stakeholders, external clients/vendors and members to ensure an exception member experience.
Member Conservation- Provides guidance and coaching to members regarding the importance of maintaining account(s) in good standing thereby reducing risk and fostering potential membership growth.
1 years of collection, call center and account servicing experience required.
Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills appropriate to all levels of the organization.
Ability to develop and maintain relationships via phone with a broad population.
