Job Description

Our Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is a business and technology expert responsible for the overall strategy for the company’s use of technology in achieving its business goals. S/he will ensure our technology and product offerings meet the short and long-term needs of our rapidly growing business. Their primary focus is to ensure our technical solutions meet our business needs while also building and managing a sustainable, scalable, and dynamic team. They are also is a great communicator and solutionist who is eager to roll up their sleeves as needed to solve issues that are impeding success. S/he is a broad thinker, researcher and architect who can partner with our executive team in realizing our goals and aspirations.

What you will do here:

  • Acts as the technical visionary, planning for future needs while providing the vision that delivers the overall exceptional client experience
  • Works cross functionally to understand needs across the entire business enterprise to help translate technology into value and revenue
  • Responsible for the overarching tech strategy, architecture and systems
  • Provides positive technical direction across all product lines, building clear roadmaps to meet business objectives in a timely and efficient manner
  • Develops continuous improvement strategies for the company’s technology systems, staying abreast of the latest technological advances and trends that could benefit the company
  • Offers high level technical expertise, sound guidance and strategic technical decisions across all areas of the organization, including infrastructure, ecommerce, mobile, website, 3rd party platforms, integrations, & development
  • Stays abreast of the latest technological trends in the industry and evaluates their value to the organization
  • Mentors, coaches and motivates Architects and Engineers to foster a positive, inclusive and productive technology team culture, while also driving performance and meeting goals
  • Balances and prioritizes business needs, developing practical and expedient solutions in a fast-moving and high-growth company, while reporting on technology status, progress and needs
  • Assists in guiding the company toward achieving its goals and objectives in a highly collaborative manner, producing greater understanding, communication and alignment between the tech and our clients

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • MBA or MS in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field preferred.
  • 10 years experience in software strategy, software design, and development, including SaaS and cloud solutions required.
  • 10 years experience as a technology leader with demonstrated increases in responsibility up to a senior position such as Chief Architect, or CTO required.
  • 10 years of experience designing multi-vendor architecture and services solutions required.
  • 1 year financial or Credit Union experience preferred.
  • Expert technical understanding and expertise with network, cloud platforms, solutions & technologies required.
  • Deep knowledge of multiple architecture domains including application, platform, data, infrastructure, and security required.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify customer business objectives and interpret technical requirements required.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies quickly and be able to assess their strengths and weaknesses from both a technical and business viability perspective required.
  • Executive presence and ability to build strong relationships with customer CxOs required.
  • Expertise and experience speaking at prominent internal/industry events on vision, strategy and technology required.
  • Exceptional analytical, strategic, planning, organization, and time management skills to effectively execute project plans and budgets required.
  • Excellent decision-making skills – ability to negotiate and balance decisions and manage competing priorities across multiple functional areas required.
  • Superior relationship management skills: ability to collaborate with, influence and engage executive leaders, customers, vendors, direct and indirect reports, and peers, to develop and execute plans and operate effectively required.
