Job Description

The Business Process Engineer helps develop and improve business processes. Responsible for evaluation of existing business processes for the purpose of identifying and executing on improvement initiatives. S/he leads the execution of departmental process improvement projects and presents status to all stakeholders. S/he is responsible for delivering improved and sustained processes through the enablement and sustainment of a continuous improvement culture.

What you will do here:

Lead and manage multiple business critical projects across the organization.

Partner with leadership in the selection, prioritization and deployment of Process Improvement projects.

Provide coaching and mentoring while broadening application and understanding of process improvement tools, strategies, and techniques.

Lead teams to critically examine, rethink, redesign and drive sustainable performance improvement.

Identify, prioritize and execute on process reengineering to ensure standardization and consistency as well as simplification and efficiency.

Identify and execute on opportunities to improve scalability and cost effectiveness.

Analyzes and tests current processes and systems to determine effectiveness and efficiency.

Collects data, performs root cause analysis of issues or problems, and proposes solutions according to the current and future needs of the business.

Oversees process change implementation and testing, and reviews changes to ensure they result in measurable organizational improvements.

Assists in the development and delivery of training programs or presentations communicating process revisions to the organization.

Identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends or patterns in complex data sets.

Locates and defines new process improvement opportunities.

Responsible for all aspects of the project lifecycle: planning, scope definition, design, execution, and delivery. Tracks progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines, or other performance indicators, and prepares reports.

Anticipates and identifies risks that may impact project deliverables; develops and implements mitigation strategies with corrective actions.

Ensures proper documentation and record keeping of all preferred methods, SOP’s, training, and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.

About You: 

Extensive experience with combining structured and unstructured data elements to drive valuable business insights.

Demonstrates a consultative mindset.

Experience in data analysis and business operations to drive operational excellence

Experience gathering customer requirements and creating use cases

Experience in visualizations both from data queries perspective and story-telling perspective

Intermediate level experience summarizing data and creating functional dashboards using Microsoft Power BI

Experience documenting current state and future state Process Designs to include implementation plan to transition into future state process design.

Passion for creating data and metrics documentations to enable self-service reporting, and maintaining the consistency and quality of dashboards

Ability to lead process improvement projects, guide process insight discussions and facilitate VSM and/or Process mapping work sessions.

What you will need:

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business or related field required. 

5 years’ experience in a related position required. 

Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean Certification and/or Training required. 

Demonstrated expertise successfully planning and executing projects resulting in measurable savings. Emphasis on the DMAIC approach to problem solving: define, measure, analyze, improve, and control required.

Experience leveraging the following software; Statistical software packages such as Minitab or JMP; Process mapping/simulation software such as iGrafx or Visio; Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required. 

Excellent communication skills required.

Strong analytical skills required.

Bonus points:

Advanced skillset in developing dashboards, visualizations, and presenting findings.

Current knowledge of CX survey interaction analytics tools ex: MaritzCX/InMoment, Qualtrics, or similar.

Expert knowledge of business analysis tools for ex: MS Visio, MS Project, MS Excel, MS Power BI, SQL.
